Eco Bhinneka Muhammadiyah Program and Finance Coordinator, Triningsih, revealed that the purpose of holding this Gallery Walk was to appreciate the efforts of women changemakers in their involvement in building peace and environmental sustainability, for themselves, their families and their communities. “In Indonesia, women are a vulnerable group affected by the climate crisis and environmental damage. It is very important for women to voice their rights for equal access and improve their quality of life,” she added.

According to Triningsih, the Gallery Walk is a forum for sharing experiences carried out by JISRA Muhammadiyah, which collaborates the issue of freedom of religion and belief with an environmental approach, where environmental preservation efforts can be maintained together by all people across faiths. “At the Gallery Walk, we have the opportunity to have a dialogue with visitors, especially participants of the Global Conference on Women’s Rights in Islam (GCWRI), to provide each other with input and strategies so that the impact of JISRA – Eco Bhinneka Muhammadiyah becomes wider, more sustainable and beneficial for all,” she said
